Paintings & Prints

Much of my inspiration comes from my love of gardens and gardening. My Dad was a keen and very accomplished gardener, and I’d watch him working away and was eventually allowed to help out - though never with his precious tomatoes; those early lessons blossomed into a lifelong love of plants.

Travel has also left a lasting imprint on my work. Time spent in the Far East reinforced a love for the elegance of the kimono, the intricacy of patterns, and the harmony of Oriental design. Those influences often weave their way into my work, even if it's just a wee hint that you need to search out.

Painting brings together so much of what I love - nature, colour, and culture.
